So, substitute a light fixture in your home with a ceiling fan by following the procedures outlined below.
Prioritize Your Safety
Cut off electricity to your light fixture at the breaker box or circuit breaker. Locate the proper circuit breaker and turn it to the off position. Once you have removed the light fixture and exposed the wiring, you will be able to check to see whether any current is flowing or not.
Remove the Light Fixture

The electrical box will be equipped with a punch-out hole that will allow your electric wire to be routed. A cable connector, which is needed to secure your wire in the box, may not be included with your mounting bracket, in which case you will need to buy one separately.
Pass your electrical line through the hole in the punch-out and connect it with the wire. Another alternative is a griddle box, which is firmly attached to the ceiling joists and provides a level surface.
Attach the Fan
The fan will be fastened to the electrical box with the help of a mounting bracket. The fan’s ball and shaft are held in place by the mounting bracket, which allows the fan to wobble only a little bit.
