According to a recent report, the magic mushroom industry will be valued at $1.2 billion by 2027. It will also have a CAGR of 10.3%. This means if you are a Canadian resident, now is the right time to invest in Shroom Grow Kit Canada!

But wait, aren’t magical mushrooms illegal? Well, the possession, production, and sale of shrooms is illegal in Canada – just like in the US. However, authorization by Health Canada lifts all of these restraints.

Plus, the world is learning more and more about psilocybe mushroom benefits every day. Several studies are being conducted to unlock potential benefits. Here are the ones we know of yet:

1. Helps Lower Anxiety & Depression

Psilocybin is the main active chemical compound in magic mushrooms. This substance is what gives these shrooms their “magical” properties. Upon ingestion, psilocybin triggers feelings of extreme joy and happiness. Some people may also gain emotional and mental clarity.

This makes magic mushrooms a potential treatment option for both anxiety and depression. In 2016, a study was held to test the effects of psilocybin on cancer patients. The participants were divided into two groups: low-dose and high-dose.

Researchers observed the effects throughout six months. It was concluded that both groups experienced lower death anxiety. However, the patients receiving a higher dose were more relaxed and calm than the low-dose patients.

Another 2022 study tested the usefulness of a psilocybin-based treatment for depression. The participants were given a set amount of psilocybin and psychotherapy for 12 months. During this time, the researchers noted the changes and concluded with positive results.

 2. Helps Reduce Headaches

According to Migraine Canada, more than 4.5 million Canadians suffer from migraines and chronic headaches. This is a lot of people experiencing headaches intense enough to make it impossible to carry out daily life activities.

In a 2022 study, psilocybin (in low amounts) was tested as a last-resort treatment for cluster headaches. The patients were informed and randomized. Although the results were not definite, the researchers noticed potential and expressed the need for more studies.

3. Helps Treat Smoking & Alcohol Addiction

Both cigarettes and alcohol are some of the most common addictions in the world. Since these things have no immediate effects, people develop a habit of drinking and smoking. This regular, constant intake deteriorates their health over time and causes deadly diseases.

However, while magic mushroom itself is classified as a drug, it has the potential to help overcome smoking and alcohol addictions. A Johns Hopkins University study resulted in 67% of participants quitting cigarettes in just 12 months with the help of psilocybin.

Another 2015 study supports the use of psilocybin to get rid of alcohol addiction. The participants experienced a drastic drop in alcohol cravings, and some overcame their addiction completely. However, since it was a single-group study, researchers emphasized the relation should be tested further.

Before You Go!

Magic mushrooms (or shrooms) have amazing potential to treat multiple health conditions. It can also help improve overall emotional and mental well-being. However, it is not yet legalized for any kind of use, possession, and production. Only authorized companies can offer it to you!
