Technology is becoming ever more essential in education. Not only can it help teach young people essential skills for the future such as coding and programming, but it also promises to optimise key processes for education providers. It’s for this latter purpose that tech innovators MHR International and iSAMS are partnering to support schools across the UK with their HR needs.
MHR specialise in HR, payroll and analytics, complimenting iSAMS’ experience and position as the education sector’s leading provider of management systems. The integration involves a new interface which links MHR’s award-winning iTrent HR and payroll platform with iSAMS’ widely-used online school information system.
Below we delve into the backgrounds of both firms and explore what the new partnership promises to bring to our highly pressured schools.
Who are MHR?
MHR International is an international software and consultancy company. The firm provides timesaving, insight-driven payroll software, as well as innovative HR, analytics and AI services.
The company’s headquarters are in the UK, where they invest heavily in research and development to provide cutting-edge tools. The iTrent platform is already employed by over 300 education establishments.
Who are iSAMS?
iSAMS is an equally well-established UK and international software provider with UK headquarters. The firm provides its management information system (MIS) solutions to more than 500 UK schools as well as over 500 international schools across 80 countries.
Everyone from data administrators to students and parents can access the iSAMS platform’s reporting and engagement tools, which cover aspects including admissions, academic reporting, examinations, wellbeing and fee billing.
What will the partnership bring?
The events of the pandemic have placed increased strain on school HR departments as workers have battled with increased absences, remote work and ever-evolving guidelines. The new interface created between MHR and iSAMS promises to eliminate thousands of admin hours, allowing school HR departments to focus their efforts elsewhere.
Many schools already use both platforms independently, but this new connection will automate and align data across both systems and remove the need for manual entry. Employee absence for example, which has risen sharply during the pandemic, will now automatically update in iSAMS when recorded in iTrent.
“Our partnership with iSAMS and rapid deployment of this new interface show we always listen to our customers and respond to business demand with functionality that increases efficiency,” said Anton Roe, CEO of MHR international.
“As a major software provider who is passionate about the education sector, we know there are still many more challenges to address so we’re looking forward to working closely with iSAMS on further streamlining schools’ time-consuming administrative processes and workflows in the future.”
Managing administration in schools has perhaps never been as challenging as it is right now. But with intelligent time-saving tools such as these, HR departments across the UK should feel better equipped.
